Overview

We are seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to take a leading role in building and evolving our iOS platform. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll drive technical direction, own critical architectural decisions, and deliver high-quality mobile experiences at scale.

Working within a cross-functional product team, you’ll collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Backend Engineering to build performant, maintainable, and user-centric iOS applications.

This role requires strong technical depth, ownership, and leadership, with the ability to influence engineering standards and mentor others.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Ownership & Architecture

  • Own and evolve the iOS application architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Lead the design and delivery of complex features and architectural improvements.
  • Make pragmatic technical decisions, balancing user experience, speed, and long-term sustainability.
  • Promote and enforce best practices across architecture, patterns, and code quality.

Engineering Excellence

  • Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code using modern iOS development practices.
  • Drive improvements in code quality, testing, and developer experience.
  • Lead and contribute to code reviews, maintaining a high engineering bar.
  • Evaluate and introduce new tools, frameworks, and approaches where appropriate.

Delivery & Collaboration

  • Partner with Product and Design to shape requirements, user experiences, and technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with Backend teams to define and optimise APIs, data contracts, and integrations.
  • Contribute to a rapid, iterative release cycle supported by CI/CD.
  • Participate actively in Agile processes, ensuring high-quality and predictable delivery.

Leadership & Mentorship

  • Mentor and support other engineers, helping to raise overall team capability.
  • Lead by example, fostering a high-performance and accountable engineering culture.
  • Provide technical guidance and contribute to team and platform-level decision making.
  • Act as a key iOS representative within the wider engineering organisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
