Senior IT Account Executive - Strategic Account Management

Remote-first (UK) | Unlimited holiday

Grow your own accounts. Create your own pipeline. Close your own deals.

Most "strategic account" roles are really about keeping customers happy and renewing on time. This one isn't. We want a commercial hunter who works inside an existing customer base, finding the problems no one has spotted yet and turning them into real revenue.

About the business

Our client is an award-winning Microsoft Cloud Solution Partner with more than 180 people and offices in Kent and central London. They provide IT support, digital transformation and Microsoft Dynamics 365 consultancy to organisations running on Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365 and Azure.

It is a business that is ambitious but not political, and has high standards but stays practical. People care about doing things properly, not just hitting numbers. They fund training in full, value challenge, and give senior hires direct access to leadership and real say in how sales develops.

The role

You will own a portfolio of strategic customers and carry a revenue target. Your job is to understand where each customer is heading, spot the white space across Microsoft technology, managed services and consultancy, and build the pipeline to get there.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You will:

  • Build and run account plans that drive revenue, retention and long-term value
  • Earn trust with senior business and technology leaders, up to C-suite
  • Uncover change programmes and business problems, then shape them into commercial opportunities
  • Lead deals from first conversation through proposal, negotiation and close
  • Work with pre-sales, consultancy and delivery teams to shape solutions and business cases
  • Own pipeline, forecasting and growth across your accounts
  • Act as the voice of the customer and align internal teams around a clear account strategy

The problems you'll solve

  • Accounts with big untapped potential but no clear plan
  • Customers who want to modernise but don't know where to start
  • Relationships that are too narrow to unlock growth
  • Complex deals that cross several departments, budgets and decision-makers
  • Accounts at risk of stalling or losing ground to competitors

About you

You are a strategic growth hunter who happens to manage existing accounts, not an account manager who happens to sell. You will likely have:

  • A track record of growing existing accounts, with numbers to prove it
  • Pipeline you personally created, not leads you were handed
  • A revenue target you carried and delivered against
  • Complex technology, software or professional services deals you originated and closed
  • Credibility with senior stakeholders and the confidence to challenge their thinking
  • Enough technical depth to hold a proper conversation before bringing in pre-sales
  • The drive to push things forward when people, processes or deals get stuck
  • The ability to influence internal teams without direct authority over them
  • Comfort working in change and ambiguity, without a large sales machine behind you
