Senior IT & AV Support Engineer (IAAPS)
About The Role
IAAPS Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Bath and comes under the umbrella of the IAAPS ‘Institute for Advanced Automotive Propulsion Systems’, which is made up of the Academic division and IAAPS Limited as the commercial arm.
Our approach has always been to deliver applied research into automotive propulsion systems in alignment with industry. As the requirements and challenges of industry have changed, we've expanded our team, facilities, expertise and scope to support our partners to develop future generations of cleaner, smarter engines, powertrains and driver technologies.
We take real world problems from industry and utilise our expertise and state-of-the-art facilities to solve those challenges.
The Senior IT & AV Support Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of an effective IT and Audio Visual (AV) Service to IAAPS Ltd. Monitoring and reporting on service requirements, you will assist in developing the Support Service, whilst nurturing positive relationships with the IAAPS staff and students, and IT staff at the University.
An effective communicator, able to build and maintain relationships, take responsibility for documentation and complete small projects.
Strong technical skills around M365 suite and end user devices including windows, MacOS and Linux
Broad knowledge of current IT and AV technologies and their application in a Higher Education context
