An exciting opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior buyer to join a growing procurement function within a regulated organisation. Working as part of a small collaborative team, you will play a key role in delivering strategic IT procurement projects, supporting business transformation initiatives, and driving commercial value across technology spend.

This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional with strong IT buying experience, who enjoys managing end-to-end sourcing activity, influencing stakeholders, and making a tangible impact within a business.

Your new role

  • Lead end-to-end procurement activities across a range of IT and technology categories.
  • Develop sourcing strategies that balance commercial value, operational needs, and risk management.
  • Manage tendering exercises, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations.
  • Draft, review, and implement technology contracts.
  • Support strategic technology and transformation programmes across the organisation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement service delivery.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience operating at Senior Buyer level (or equivalent) within IT procurement.
  • Strong track record of delivering complex technology sourcing and commercial projects.
  • Skilled negotiator with experience securing favourable commercial outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence technical, business, risk, and senior leadership teams.
  • Experience supporting digital transformation or technology programmes would be advantageous.
  • Financial services or other regulated industry experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Ideally, studying CIPS or hold MCIPS.
