SENIOR IT CONSULTANT (FRENCH AND ENGLISH REQUIRED)
Languages: Native or near-native French and fluent professional English. Both are essential, and applications without fluent French cannot be considered.
Location: Hybrid. Remote, with regular on-site work across several London sites.
Contract: Freelance
Duration: Approximately two months, from mid-September to mid-November 2026, with the possibility of future consulting engagements
Start: 15 September 2026
Pay: £30.00-£70.00 per hour
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Petatec is looking for an experienced, fluently French-speaking Senior IT Consultant to join our consulting team for a strategic IT assessment and advisory engagement. Fluent French is the first requirement for this role: stakeholder interviews are conducted mainly in French, and reporting is produced in both French and English. This is a consulting role, not a translation role.
The successful consultant will support the assessment of an established organisation's IT environment, operational processes, governance and future digital strategy. The role includes stakeholder interviews, technical assessments, analysis and the preparation of practical recommendations and a strategic technology roadmap.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
