Job Description

Are you a hands-on IT infrastructure professional who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment? We’re looking for an experienced IT Senior Engineer to help deliver reliable, scalable technology solutions across our stores, Head Office and warehouse operations.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting business-critical infrastructure, leading IT readiness for new store openings, and driving operational excellence across the estate.

What we are offering you

  • Supporting and maintaining IT infrastructure across stores, Head Office and warehouse locations
  • Leading the IT setup and readiness for new store openings and refurbishments
  • Delivering infrastructure and POS rollout projects with minimal disruption to operations
  • Providing BAU support for tills, networking, connectivity and store technologies
  • Troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure issues to minimise downtime
  • Participating in an on-call rota for critical incidents
  • Acting as an escalation point for the IT Service Desk and engineering teams
  • Supporting store lifecycle activities including openings, closures and relocations
  • Maintaining clear technical documentation and contributing to process improvements
  • Mentoring junior engineers and supporting knowledge sharing across the team

  • 5+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure support
  • Strong experience supporting retail technology environments
  • Knowledge of SD-WAN, Fortinet, switching, Wi-Fi and POS systems
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and Active Directory
  • Strong Windows Desktop and Windows Server support experience
  • Exposure to VMware and Hyper-V environments
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL and FTP support
  • Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to support stakeholders at all levels
  • Proactive mindset with a strong attention to detail and continuous improvement focus
