Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated IT Support professional to provide technical assistance and support to our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving hardware and software issues, maintaining network infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth operation of all IT systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for technology and customer service to contribute to a dynamic team. Duties

  • Provide first-line technical support via help desk tickets, email, and phone, assisting users with hardware, software, and network issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and software applications such as Microsoft Office
  • Configure and maintain network components including LAN, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless access points
  • Assist with the setup, installation, and upgrade of computer systems and peripherals
  • Monitor system performance and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal operation
  • Document issues and resolutions using IT service management tools such as Atera, Splashtop, and Anydesk
  • Collaborate with other IT team members on projects involving system upgrades or network enhancements
  • Communicate effectively with users at all levels to provide clear guidance and support

Experience

  • Proven experience in IT support or desktop support roles within a corporate environment
  • Strong understanding of computer networking concepts including LAN, VPNs, firewalls, and operating systems (Windows, macOS)
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting software issues across various platforms and applications
  • Experience working with help desk ticketing systems such as Atera, Splashtop, and Anydesk
  • Knowledge of computer hardware components and peripherals
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Support Technician are advantageous but not essential
