Role Overview
Nasuni is looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to help design, operate, secure, and optimize our cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and SaaS platforms. This role is ideal for a hands-on cloud engineer who enjoys building reliable systems, improving governance, automating repeatable work, and partnering with Security, Engineering, IT Operations, Finance, and Procurement to support a scalable global business.
You will help ensure Nasuni’s cloud environments are secure, well-governed, cost-aware, and operationally resilient. Your work will directly improve business agility by reducing manual effort, strengthening identity and access controls, improving visibility into cloud resources, and helping teams deliver faster and more reliable services.
This role is for someone who has owned meaningful cloud infrastructure outcomes in production environments. It is not a fit for someone whose experience is limited to basic system administration, ticket routing, or cloud exposure without hands-on implementation.
Level & Scope Definition
This is a senior individual contributor role with independent ownership of cloud infrastructure delivery, operational improvement, and technical escalation. You will make practical technical decisions within established Security and IT standards, recommend improvements to governance and automation, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to execute cloud initiatives. The role balances hands-on delivery with process improvement, documentation, mentoring, and operational leadership.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and hybrid infrastructure.
- Audit existing cloud resources and align them to best-practice configurations, tagging standards, access controls, and operational governance.
- Implement and manage IAM policies, role-based access controls, MFA enforcement, and integrations with Okta and Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD under Security team guidance.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and repeatable workflows using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, PowerShell, Workato, or similar platforms.
- Monitor and improve cloud availability, performance, security posture, and cost efficiency through dashboards, alerts, tagging discipline, and operational reviews.
- Partner with Security on encryption, key management, network segmentation, SOC 2, ISO 27001, Zero Trust, and related cloud security initiatives.
- Collaborate with Engineering and IT Operations on migrations, SaaS/PaaS optimization, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation for cloud-related issues.
- Maintain architecture diagrams, runbooks, SOPs, and self-service knowledge resources that improve operational consistency.
- Use AI-enabled tools responsibly to accelerate analysis, documentation, log review, IaC drafting, and workflow improvement while validating outputs for accuracy, security, and business fit.
- Mentor junior engineers and help raise the team’s cloud automation, governance, and operational best practices.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
