Senior IT Manager – Hampshire
£65,000–£85,000 + Benefits | Hybrid Working
Take ownership of IT strategy and operations within a growing organisation.
Following a period of growth through acquisitions, the business is appointing its first dedicated internal IT leader. This is an opportunity to shape its technology roadmap and deliver a varied programme of projects that will support continued expansion. Initially, you’ll focus on managing external vendors and service providers, with scope to bring selected IT functions in-house as the business develops.
Based on the south coast, the offices are within commuting distance of Southampton and Portsmouth, with flexible hybrid working arrangements.

The role:
Reporting directly to senior management, you will:
- Develop and deliver an IT strategy aligned with the company’s growth plans.
- Oversee software, hardware, cloud services, data and infrastructure.
- Manage and optimise the existing SAP ERP system.
- Strengthen data security and improve data management processes.
- Manage external suppliers and the existing managed service provider (MSP), ensuring effective service delivery.
About you:
You’ll be an experienced senior IT manager who combines strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on approach. You will bring:

- A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategies.
- Experience delivering system upgrades and ERP deployments across multiple sites, ideally involving SAP and Microsoft technologies.
- A strong background in data, preferably including the development and implementation of data strategies.
- Hands-on experience in IT or engineering.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Ability to commute to the Hampshire office as required.
