This is a hands-on leadership opportunity to own IT operations within a globally distributed, remote-first technology organization. You will oversee the systems, infrastructure, applications, devices, identity, and support processes that enable employees to work securely and effectively. The role combines strategic ownership with practical technical execution, giving you the opportunity to improve how IT operates across the organization. You will manage a modern Microsoft environment while overseeing SaaS platforms, vendors, technology spend, and business-critical integrations. Security and compliance will also be central to the role, including responsibility for ISO 27001:2022 activities and coordination with external security specialists. Working across international teams, you will have significant autonomy to strengthen IT operations, automation, governance, and resilience.
Accountabilities
- Own day-to-day IT operations for a globally distributed, remote-first organization, covering business applications, endpoints, infrastructure, identity and access management, asset lifecycle management, and employee support.
- Administer, maintain, and continuously improve Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint, and Power Automate, including access controls, device compliance, and workflow automation.
- Manage SaaS platforms, IT vendors, licenses, contracts, renewals, technology assets, and overall IT spend, ensuring effective governance and operational efficiency.
- Support Microsoft Business Central and integrations across finance, sales, and operational systems, including HubSpot.
- Own secure employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, role changes, and offboarding, applying least-privilege and role-based access principles.
- Coordinate external security partners responsible for security monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, security testing, and compliance support.
- Serve as the internal technical owner for ISO 27001:2022, coordinating evidence collection, remediation activities, and ongoing compliance requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive IT documentation, operational procedures, business continuity measures, and disaster-recovery arrangements.
- Identify opportunities to automate, standardize, and improve IT processes while ensuring a reliable and secure employee experience.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
