Location & working arrangement

London or Nuneaton | Full-time | Hybrid

We offer hybrid working, with an expectation that you'll be present at one of our Holland & Barrett offices in London or Nuneaton (or another designated location) for a minimum of 2 days per week.

Working at the intersection of enterprise IT and Operational Technology (OT), you'll lead the design and delivery of security solutions that safeguard business-critical systems while enabling innovation. This is an opportunity to shape our IT and OT security capability, influence technical direction and make a tangible impact across a growing international business.


What you'll be doing

  • Lead the security engineering of IT and OT environments across our stores, warehouses and operational sites.
  • Design, implement and continuously improve secure architectures, configurations and engineering standards.
  • Drive secure network segmentation, remote access and identity controls across distributed environments.
  • Act as the senior technical escalation point for IT and OT cyber security challenges and incidents.
  • Assess cyber risks, provide pragmatic recommendations and support informed business decisions.
  • Partner with infrastructure, engineering, operations and facilities teams to embed security by design.
  • Mentor colleagues, share technical expertise and help develop security engineering best practice.
  • Stay ahead of emerging cyber threats and continuously improve our security tooling and capabilities.

What you'll bring

  • Significant hands-on experience securing enterprise IT environments, including system hardening and secure configuration.
  • Strong experience working with operational, distributed or OT environments where resilience and availability are essential.
  • Expertise across network security, segmentation, firewalls, VPNs, identity and endpoint security.
  • The confidence to lead technical decisions, influence stakeholders and balance security with operational needs.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative and pragmatic approach.
  • Experience with technologies such as Active Directory, Entra ID, endpoint management platforms or OT technologies such as PLCs, SCADA or BMS would be an advantage.
