Senior IT Project Manager
3 Month Fixed-Term Contract (possible extension) Based in Petersfield
Offering circa £60,000 (Pro rata)
Are you a delivery-focused IT Project Manager? Do you have experience within care, healthcare, social care, or similar organisations? Do you have hands-on Waterfall delivery experience?
If your answer to these is yes, then this could be the role for you!
As the Senior IT Project Manager, you will be working with a cutting-edge consultancy supporting various clients on their project needs.
You will be involved in:
- Lead the day-to-day delivery of multiple projects within the Staff Retention portfolio, managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and dependencies
- Create and maintain detailed project plans, delivery milestones, RAID logs, governance packs, and executive reporting
- Deliver projects using a structured Waterfall methodology, ensuring strong project controls throughout the project lifecycle
- Work closely with HR, Operational, and IT stakeholders to define requirements, agree solutions, and ensure successful delivery
- Drive business change activities, including stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and adoption planning
- Manage project teams, SMEs, third-party suppliers, and technical resources to deliver agreed outcomes
- Lead service transition activities, ensuring operational readiness, support models, documentation, and handover into BAU teams
- Identify and proactively manage budgets, project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and delivery challenges
- Track delivery against agreed business outcomes and benefits linked to staff retention, colleague experience, and workforce stability
- Provide clear and concise project reporting to programme boards, sponsors, and senior leadership teams

Your skillset & experience:

- Experience delivering multiple concurrent projects
- Strong hands-on Waterfall delivery experience
- Demonstrable business change and organisational transformation delivery experience
- Strong service transition and operational handover expertise
- Comfortable managing projects from initiation through to implementation through to benefits realisation
- Excellent stakeholder management skills up to Director and Executive level
- Proven experience working in complex operational environments
- PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, or equivalent is ideal
- Experience within care, healthcare, social care, or other people-intensive organisations
