Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager
Schedule: 3 days in the office
Location: London (Hybrid)
This opportunity sits within a major energy operator that plays an important role in the UK energy system and is helping customers decarbonise. The role will lead the delivery of complex, high-risk technology projects with strong focus on digital transformation, governance and stakeholder engagement. This position offers the chance to drive measurable business outcomes across multidisciplinary teams using Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery approaches.
Required Experience
- Extensive experience delivering large-scale technology projects with significant business impact and senior stakeholder visibility
- Proven background leading projects through initiation, planning, execution, transition and closure
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams across business and technology functions in complex environments
- Track record of working with Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery approaches and selecting the most appropriate method for successful outcomes
- Experience coordinating suppliers and third-party delivery partners to achieve agreed commitments and quality outcomes

Required Skills
- Strong project planning, governance, financial management, risk management and change control capability
- Ability to manage scope, schedules, budgets, dependencies, risks and operational readiness activities
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills with the ability to provide clear recommendations and constructive challenge
- Ability to build transparent reporting and escalation processes for progress, financial status, delivery confidence, risks and issues
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve conflicts and delivery constraints across multiple teams and functions
- Capability to support business readiness, service transition, user adoption and support planning
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, MSP, PgMP or equivalent project management certification
- Agile qualifications and related delivery experience
- Background in large global organisations, regulated industries, energy or financial services
- Experience with supplier management and tools such as Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps and Jira
- Experience working within logistics or commercial operations environments
- Experience delivering projects across distribution operations, terminals, supply chain, transportation, contracts management, confirmations or other operationally complex environments
