About The Role

Our client is looking for a highly experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead strategic technology initiatives for their operations in Belfast. This role is critical for overseeing large-scale IT projects, managing budgets, and ensuring the successful implementation of complex systems and platforms. You will collaborate with global teams, manage multiple stakeholders, and drive the adoption of best practices in project delivery. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in a challenging, impactful role within a reputable organisation, contributing to significant technological advancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, enterprise-wide IT projects from inception to completion.
  • Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within financial constraints.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management and external vendors, providing regular status updates and reports.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks and issues, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee and guide project teams, ensuring adherence to project management methodologies, quality standards, and best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project management function.

Requirements

  • Significant experience (7+ years) in managing large-scale IT projects, including infrastructure, software development, and system implementations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in budget management, resource allocation, and risk mitigation for complex projects.
  • Excellent understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and software development lifecycles.
  • PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification is essential.
