Senior IT Project Manager - OT Security & Secure File Transfer in Pharma
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior IT Project Manager - OT Security & Secure File Transfer in Pharma based in United Kingdom.
This role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact infrastructure security projects within a global pharmaceutical environment. You will oversee the implementation and expansion of OT Security platforms and Secure File Transfer solutions that protect critical systems and sensitive data. Working across Infrastructure, Security, OT, Network, and Security Operations teams, you will drive complex projects from planning through production readiness. Your work will strengthen cybersecurity, threat prevention, secure data exchange, and regulatory compliance across global operations. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders and technical vendors while managing budgets, risks, dependencies, and delivery milestones. This is a highly collaborative role suited to an experienced IT Project Manager who thrives in complex, regulated, and technology-driven environments.
Accountabilities:
- Ownership of End-to-End Initiatives: As the Senior IT Project Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end infrastructure security initiatives, ensuring they are delivered effectively and aligned with enterprise architecture and cybersecurity objectives.
- Project Leadership: Lead the delivery of infrastructure security projects focused on OT Security platforms, such as Claroty, and Secure File Transfer or File Security solutions.
- Implementation Management: Manage the implementation and expansion of OT cybersecurity capabilities, including asset visibility, threat detection, risk management, and OT network security.
- Secure File Transfer Deployment: Lead the deployment of secure file transfer and file security technologies, supporting secure data exchange, malware scanning, threat prevention, and compliance.
- Coordination Across Teams: Coordinate delivery activities across OT, Infrastructure, Network, Security Operations, and site teams.
- Project Management: Manage project plans, budgets, risks, dependencies, vendors, timelines, and delivery milestones.
- Alignment with Security Architecture: Ensure technology implementations align with enterprise security architecture, operational requirements, and regulatory expectations.
- Reporting to Stakeholders: Prepare and present project status, key risks, decisions, and progress updates to steering committees and senior stakeholders.
- Project Lifecycle Management: Drive governance, testing, validation, production readiness, and successful transition throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience managing enterprise infrastructure and cybersecurity projects.
- Track Record: Proven track record delivering security platform implementations, infrastructure modernization, or cybersecurity transformation initiatives.
- Understanding of OT Security: Strong understanding of OT Security, industrial cybersecurity, and IT/OT environments.
- Secure File Transfer Expertise: Experience with Secure File Transfer, file security, content security, or threat prevention solutions.
- Industry Experience: Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, manufacturing, or critical infrastructure environments, including GxP-regulated settings.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Strong experience managing technical vendors, global stakeholders, and multi-site deployments.
- Project Governance Knowledge: Solid knowledge of Waterfall, Hybrid, and structured project governance methodologies.
- Skills: Strong stakeholder management, communication, risk management, budget control, and organizational skills.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent English and experience working within global, complex, and regulated environments.
- Platform Experience: Hands-on experience with Claroty, OPSWAT, or comparable OT and file security platforms is preferred.
- Network Security Knowledge: Knowledge of network segmentation, SIEM, PAM, secure remote access, or industrial network architectures is an advantage.
- Certification: PMP, PRINCE2, or an equivalent project management certification is preferred.
