Job Description

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating project teams. The PM will be responsible for managing several concurrent high visibility projects using agile methods in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple business divisions.

The PM will play several different roles in actual practice:

Enterprise-level Role

At an enterprise level, role includes:

• Leading and managing large, complex enterprise-level projects.
• The projects may consist of multiple teams and require integration with other activities outside the scope of the teams.

Team-level Role

At a team level, role includes:

• Playing a consultative role to put in place the appropriate people, process, and tools, to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
• Coaching members of the team as needed to optimize the efficiency of the project team.

Project Role

At a project level, role includes:

• Using good judgment and skill to develop a project management approach that is suitable for planning and managing the effort.
• Achieve the project goals within designated project constraints.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Managing multiple concurrent projects of varying size and complexity.
• Project Initiation including Project Stand-up Calls with clients and Core technical teams.
• Project Coordination using Prince 2 Agile Scrum Methodology including regular client and technical team scrum calls, sprint planning and review calls.
• Advise key stakeholders on development and integration plans.
• Change management – preparation of change notes including change note justification and commercial scoping.
• Project Planning and Management – define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organise and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.
• Team building – promote empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encourage a sustainable pace with high-levels of quality for the team. Mentor and nurture the project delivery team members in the project.
• Project Status Reporting and Financial Management – in line with Core’s PMO processes; deliver weekly project updates and monthly governance reports to project stakeholders; reporting exceptions to practice project boards. Record the finances of the project provided accruals and project forecast data.
• Project administration using PSA and DevOps tools including:
  • Project planning and deliverable tracking.
  • Project backlog and release management.
  • Project risk & issue management.
  • Internal and external resource sourcing and coordination.
  • Coordination of Pilot and UAT project activities.
  • Project governance – budget & escalation management.
  • Timesheet approvals.
  • Budget and financial control.
