Are you an experienced IT professional looking for an opportunity to make a real impact in a highly collaborative and purpose-driven organisation?

Pool Re is seeking a Senior IT Support Engineer to join our IT team. This is a hands-on role supporting colleagues across the business while helping to maintain and enhance our Microsoft cloud, infrastructure, endpoint management and cyber security capabilities.

About the Role

As Senior IT Support Engineer, you'll provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support across a range of technologies, ensuring colleagues receive a high-quality IT service and excellent user experience. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and third-party suppliers to maintain secure, reliable and efficient technology services.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • IT support and service delivery
  • Microsoft 365 administration
  • Microsoft Intune and Entra ID management
  • Cyber security and SOC support
  • Network and infrastructure support
  • IT and cyber security project delivery

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with excellent customer service skills.

You'll have experience of:

  • Providing 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support in a corporate environment
  • Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive
  • Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA and Identity Governance
  • Microsoft Intune and endpoint management
  • Microsoft Defender technologies
  • Windows endpoints and mobile device management
  • Networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and firewalls
  • Working within regulated or compliance-focused environments, ideally financial services, insurance or banking

You will also be a strong communicator, able to build relationships with colleagues at all levels.

Qualifications & Certifications

The successful candidate will hold at least one current IT, cloud, endpoint management or cyber security certification. Microsoft certifications such as Azure Administrator, Endpoint Administrator or Cybersecurity Analyst are particularly welcomed.
