Job Title: Senior IT Support Technician
Location: Lydney
Salary: up to £50,000
We are working with a leading organisation who are looking for a Senior On-Site IT Support Technician to take technical ownership of their local IT environment. This is a great opportunity to join an established enterprise environment, act as a senior escalation point and take ownership of complex incidents, infrastructure stability and local technology projects.
The Role:
- Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex and business-critical incidents, taking ownership through to resolution and root-cause analysis.
- Provide technical leadership across on-site infrastructure, end-user computing and operational systems, ensuring stability, performance and security.
- Lead site-level technology projects including infrastructure upgrades, hardware refreshes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with wider IT teams, suppliers and third parties to implement solutions aligned with enterprise standards, security requirements and business needs.
- Provide technical coaching and mentorship to junior IT support staff while contributing to problem management, change control and service improvement.

The Candidate:
- 5+ years' experience providing hands-on IT support within an enterprise or manufacturing environment, ideally operating at a senior technical level.
- Strong experience across Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange, identity management and endpoint management.
- Proven experience resolving complex technical issues, carrying out root-cause analysis and supporting infrastructure improvements and projects.
- Strong understanding of ITIL, incident, problem and change management within a structured IT environment.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, with the flexibility to travel between sites when required.
