Senior Java Developers - Contract - Inside IR35

Location: London (2–3 days per week onsite)
Rate: £750–£800 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract Length: 12 months

We're looking for an experienced Senior Java Developers to join a high-performing engineering team delivering large-scale, cloud-native applications. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, business-critical systems using modern technologies within a collaborative Agile environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Designing and developing scalable, high-performance Java applications.
  • Building and maintaining cloud-native solutions on AWS.
  • Developing and deploying containerised microservices using Kubernetes.
  • Collaborating with architects, engineers, and product teams to deliver high-quality software.
  • Contributing to technical design, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
  • Driving continuous improvement across development and deployment processes.

Essential skills

  • Strong commercial experience with Java.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services.
  • Proven experience with Kubernetes and containerised applications.
  • Experience building microservices and distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and modern software engineering practices.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform or CloudFormation).
  • Experience with Spring Boot and related Java frameworks.
  • Exposure to event-driven architectures and messaging technologies.
