Senior Java Developer | Travel-tech Senior Java Developer | £300-400/day | Outside IR35 | Fully Remote within Europe
A fast-growing travel-tech organisation is embarking on a major product evolution and is looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join their team. This is a key engineering role working on high-traffic, consumer-facing systems used across Europe.
What You’ll Work On
- Lead the evolution of a large-scale Java, Springboot, and MySQL, ensuring it can support a new universal architecture across multiple products.
- Design and implement new backend features, Unit Testing, API testing, and system improvements to support both web and mobile clients.
- Contribute to shared architecture, functional models, and backend design patterns to unify services across the organisation.

Required Skills & Experience
- Senior-level expertise building and maintaining commercial, production-scale applications.
- Deep proficiency in:
- Java
- Springboot (server-side development, API design)
- MySQL (performance optimisation, complex queries, relational modelling)
- Experience architecting and maintaining distributed backend systems.
- Strong understanding of integration patterns, API design, and scalable service architecture.

Contract Details
- 6-month contract — extension highly likely due to roadmap depth
- Outside IR35
- Fully remote within Europe
