Senior Java Developers - CI/CD + TDD
Salary - £100,000 – £130,000 + benefits
Hybrid - London 3 days per week in the office (Mandatory)
We’re looking for Senior Java Developers to join a high-performing engineering team working on a major financial services project in London.
This is a hands-on engineering role for developers who care about clean, maintainable code, automated testing and continuous delivery. You’ll work in a modern Agile environment alongside experienced engineers, architects, product specialists and other technology teams.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing, developing and delivering high-quality Java applications and services
- Building robust, scalable solutions within a complex financial environment
- Driving Test-Driven Development (TDD) and strong automated testing practices
- Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and supporting continuous delivery
- Working collaboratively within an Agile/Scrum team
- Contributing to technical design, architecture and engineering best practices
- Reviewing code and helping raise engineering standards across the team
- Troubleshooting complex technical issues and improving application performance and reliability
- Working closely with product and business stakeholders to deliver valuable outcomes

What we’re looking for
- Strong commercial experience developing applications with Java
- Excellent understanding of TDD, unit testing and automated testing
- Strong experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Solid experience working in Agile development environments
- Good understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns and clean code
- Experience with REST APIs, microservices and distributed systems
- Comfortable working with Git and modern development tooling
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience within financial services, banking, trading or another highly regulated environment would be highly desirable
