About the job

Senior Java Developer
Location: London
Type: Contract
Rate: £750 per day outside IR35
Onsite Requirement: 5 days

We're partnering with a specialist consultancy to build a greenfield asset tokenisation platform for a major global financial institution.

This is a hands-on Java engineering role focused on building the platform from scratch, solving complex technical challenges and shaping the future of the firm's digital assets capability.

You'll be joining at the start of the journey, with the opportunity to influence both the platform and the wider programme as it grows.

What you'll be doing

  • Build a greenfield asset tokenisation platform using Java.
  • Develop new services and platform components in a Linux environment.
  • Work closely with other engineers to shape the design and direction of the platform.
  • Solve complex engineering problems in a fast-moving environment.
  • Use modern AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Windsurf or Devin as part of the development process.
  • Contribute to a high-visibility programme with the potential to scale significantly.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
