Senior Java Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Engineer to join our team and play a key role in building, modernizing, and enhancing a critical enterprise Master Data Platform. This platform serves as the source for maintaining key demographic data and delivering robust data management capabilities across customers, bankers, and related entities.
As part of this team, you will contribute to the design and development of scalable, high-performance backend services that ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across the organization. You will work on complex integration challenges, enabling seamless data exchange between systems while adhering to strict security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
Your work will directly support operational efficiency, regulatory reporting, risk management, and customer experience initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-performance applications using Java.
- Work with GraphDB and Scala-based components to manage complex data relationships and processing.
- Support big data systems operating at scale with continuous, real-time data processing.
- Build and optimize systems for transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and fraud detection.
- Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and performance for business-critical workloads.

Requirements:
- Exposure to big data technologies and distributed processing.
- High level of Java (Concurrency, JVM, JMM); Experience building streaming data architectures.
- Good working knowledge of Data Mesh, Data Lakes, and warehousing solutions.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, building Kubernetes operators is of special interest.
- Experience with message brokers (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
Nice to have:
- Practical experience with messaging systems (Kafka, Solace, *MQ).
- Experience with Graph databases (GraphDB) and Scala.
- Docker experience. OpenShift/Public cloud experience.
- Experience with Java profiling/troubleshooting. Experience with Mongo. Knowledge of FX Risk calculations.
- Understanding of data governance, master data management, and real-time processing systems.
- Ability to work on highly critical, large-scale enterprise platforms.
