Senior Software Engineer | Java | Spring Boot | AWS

£70,000 - £90,000 + Benefits
Are you a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys building scalable products, solving complex technical challenges and working with modern AI-powered development tools? I'm partnering with an established, profitable SaaS business that's entering an exciting new phase of growth. With thousands of customers already using their platform, they're investing heavily in AI-driven capabilities and are looking for an experienced engineer to help shape what's next.
What you'll be doing
- Play a key role in a small, highly experienced engineering team, taking ownership of backend development while contributing across the full stack when needed.
- Work with:
- Java & Spring Boot
- AWS
- React
- SQL
- REST APIs
- AI-assisted development tools (Claude)
- This is a role where you'll have genuine ownership, influence technical decisions, work closely with the CTO and help modernise an established SaaS platform.

What we're looking for
- Strong commercial experience with Java & Spring Boot
- Experience building scalable APIs and cloud-based applications
- Solid SQL and AWS knowledge
- Comfortable working across the stack, including React
- Passion for clean code, modern engineering practices and continuous improvement
