Senior Software Engineer | Java | React | AWS/Azure
Hybrid | Permanent
I’m currently working with a leading UK technology and software consultancy that is looking to add an experienced Senior Software Engineer to one of their Central Government delivery teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Full Stack Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, working with modern technologies, and having genuine ownership across the software development lifecycle.
The Role:
- You’ll join an Agile engineering team delivering bespoke software solutions for high-profile customers, working across areas including:
- Full-stack software development using Java, TypeScript/JavaScript and React
- Designing, developing and testing high-quality software
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, with tools such as GitLab
- Working with AWS and Azure cloud environments
- Contributing across the full software lifecycle from requirements and architecture through to deployment and ongoing support
- Working closely with customers and technical stakeholders
- Taking technical leadership responsibility where appropriate to your experience

What They're Looking For:
- They're particularly interested in speaking with Senior Engineers who have strong commercial experience with:
- Java
- TypeScript / JavaScript
- React
- AWS and/or Azure
- Agile software development
- Modern CI/CD and software engineering practices
Security Clearance
- Due to the nature of the projects, you’ll need to be eligible to obtain UK security clearance.
- You must hold a British passport and have been permanently resident in the UK for the last 5 years.
