Senior Java Engineer
London (Hybrid, 3 days onsite)
Up to £100,000
Our client is a growing fintech building high-performance, low-latency backend systems where engineering quality directly impacts product capability and scale.
This is a hands-on senior role for a deep Java specialist who wants ownership, architectural influence, and a clear path to leading a small team.
What You’ll Own
- Design and build distributed, low-latency services in Java 25
- Develop production-grade microservices (Dropwizard)
- Solve real concurrency and multithreading challenges
- Improve throughput, performance, and system resilience
- Run services in Docker/Kubernetes environments
- Contribute to infrastructure decisions (Terraform exposure helpful)
- Raise code quality and architectural standards
