Senior Java Engineer

Banbury – Three days a week in the office
£70k-£80k

We’ve partnered with a growing technology business that builds software products for the Public Sector as they’re putting together two brand new software teams. In your role, you will contribute to building software that their customers use to make the world safer. Due to the nature of the work, candidates need to be eligible for NPPV level 3 vetting.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll contribute to the codebase, design new modules, take part in code reviews, and help shape the team’s engineering standards and future architecture. This is a Senior position, so we’re looking for individuals who have a passion for mentoring and supporting other engineers to develop.

  • Strong hands-on Java experience, ideally Java 25, with Spring Boot and/or Micronaut
  • Good commercial experience with JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience working with complex legacy applications
