Senior Full Stack Engineer (Java / React) | High-Growth Scale-Up | Up to £80k + Remote / Flexible Hybrid

About the Role:
We are partnering with a fast-growing UK software business specializing in data-driven B2B tools and digital analytics. With a global client base spanning retail, finance, and travel, they build cloud-native software that helps businesses analyze performance, optimize customer engagement, and leverage predictive insights.
Reporting directly to the Engineering Leadership team, you will lead a cross-functional squad building scalable, secure, and reliable features across their core product suite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Direction: Lead by example and set technical standards across your squad, driving maintainable architecture and clean code practices.
- Team Growth & Mentorship: Coach and mentor software engineers through regular 1:1s, code reviews, and tailored development plans.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product and Analytics teams to translate product requirements into resilient, scalable tech solutions.
- Platform Modernization: Drive continuous improvement across delivery pipelines, testing practices, and cloud infrastructure.

Core Tech Stack & Requirements:
- Backend: Strong core experience in Java and the Spring framework (essential).
- Frontend: Working knowledge or familiarity with React and TypeScript.
- Cloud & Data: Exposure to public cloud platforms (GCP / AWS) and cloud data tools (e.g., BigQuery, serverless services, or ML toolkits).
- Best Practices: Solid grasp of microservices, TDD, CI/CD pipelines, and modern containerization.
- Leadership Style: Collaborative approach with a track record of mentoring junior to mid-level engineers.
