Senior KDB Developer - London

The best kdb+ talent isn't usually actively applying for jobs.

They're busy solving complex problems, building scalable real-time systems, and making critical architectural decisions that power some of the world's fastest-moving financial environments.

If that's you, or if you've started thinking about what your next move could look like later this year, this opportunity is worth a conversation.

We're partnering with a highly respected financial technology organisation investing heavily in its market data and analytics platforms. It's an opportunity to join a business where kdb+ sits at the heart of the platform and where your expertise will directly influence design decisions, performance improvements, and the direction of the wider engineering team.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing and evolving enterprise-scale kdb+ architectures
  • Building highly performant, resilient time-series data solutions
  • Working with vast volumes of real-time and historical market data
  • Driving technical decisions and influencing architecture strategy
  • Collaborating with senior stakeholders across technology and the business
  • Mentoring engineers and helping shape engineering best practices
  • Leading initiatives focused on scalability, performance, and innovation

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
