Role Overview

As Senior Key Account Manager for GTR you will have the opportunity to build on your commercial experience and develop our award winning brands with a wide variety of customers across varied retail locations.

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver and develop the GTR strategy for a selection of accounts.
  • Manage selected accounts to achieve volume and value targets, as well as other financial performance indicators whilst assisting with implementing brand strategies and activations.
  • Assigned to airport locations and key B2B customers, the Key Account Manager is responsible for the execution of all key priorities including distribution, brand activation, share of shelf, permanent visibility, Joint Business Plan delivery, local account management and creation/implementation of local opportunities.
  • Manage the relationship & partnership with retailers & Buyers to deliver clear market plans.
  • Collaborate with the Retail Execution Manager to hold the ‘shop floor’ relationship with all sales staff and ensures they are fully educated in our brands, whilst delivering required shop floor compliance and reports back to business, for example RSP’s, availability, facings, competitor activity etc.
  • Commercial Responsibility; achieve sales and NSV targets by delivering the agreed annual JBP plan internally and with retailer.
  • Develop, negotiate and implement annual promotion & activation plans across brands, as per guidelines, as a vehicle to deliver the established objectives
  • Deliver on RSVP3 execution goals annually (Range, Space, Visibility, Price, Promotion and Persuasion) at Account and store level
  • Lead the negotiation on trading terms and pricing
  • Understand market dynamics, market trends and competitor activity and utilize this information to develop plans that assist in Suntory Global Spirits winning in the marketplace
  • Perform monthly administrative duties, such as invoicing, promo pricing analysis, credit control compliance with the accounts within the region
  • Adapt and implement the S&OP process such as forecasting, reviews etc. with supply chain as a way of working to create efficient and effective business
  • Relationship/Team/Stakeholder Management
    • Leading relationships across territory with local buying teams/Store Managers/Key Staff ensuring that Suntory Global Spirits is a preferred partner, via excellent customer management and strategic relationships with priority customers, RTM distributor & internal stakeholders.
    • Lead the execution of the strategy & agenda on Brand Ambassador efficiency and optimization across relevant markets, coaching & developing team to lead to brilliant execution of the BA plan
    • Work collaboratively with the Domestic team to deliver on best overall outcomes for Suntory Global Spirits, aligning on brand and pricing priorities where possible

  • Degree qualified will be preferred
  • Proven account Management experience
  • Ideally 5 years’ experience Consumer Goods category background
  • Travel Retail experience will be preferred
  • Team player with a strong collaborative approach
  • Ability to travel regionally – up to 35%
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • Commercial and Financial understanding
