Senior Full Stack Kotlin Developer — Job Summary
Role Overview
As a Senior Full Stack Kotlin Developer & Consultant, you will lead multi-disciplinary teams to build secure, scalable, user-centred digital services. You will act as a technical leader, ensure best practices, and mentor junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead software development aligned with business and user needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders on complex client solutions.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Present solutions and prototypes clearly to stakeholders.
- Mentor and coach team members.

Requirements
Essential Skills
- Languages & Frameworks: Extensive Kotlin/JVM, Java, Spring Boot, and exposure to Node.js/TypeScript/Express.js/Nunjucks.
- Architecture: Microservices, RESTful APIs, and scalable back-end services.
- DevOps & Cloud: Public cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins/Azure DevOps).
Desirable Skills
- GOV/NHS or consultancy background.
- Experience with Kafka (or similar) and Helm.

Location & Working Model
Offices:
- Leeds (HQ), Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, London, and Bristol.
Hybrid/Travel:
- Flexibility to work on-site at offices or client locations at least 2 days per week.
Relocation:
- Support package available up to £8,000.
