We are looking for an experienced Senior KYC Analyst to join our growing Financial Crime team. This role is ideal for a knowledgeable financial crime professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys combining technical expertise, coaching responsibilities, and complex investigations.

You will act as an escalation point for KYC and screening analysts, support quality assurance activities, oversee high-risk reviews, and help ensure the Bank's financial crime framework remains robust and effective.

πŸ’Ό Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct first-line investigations of financial crime alerts, including customer screening, payment screening and CIFAS alerts.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex sanctions, PEP and adverse screening reviews.
  • Review and approve high-risk periodic reviews and customer outreach communications.
  • Conduct transaction monitoring and identify potential financial crime risks, including money laundering, sanctions breaches, terrorist financing and fraud.
  • Perform customer and beneficial owner screening against sanctions and PEP databases.
  • Deliver coaching and training to junior team members based on quality assurance findings.
  • Support internal stakeholders with financial crime-related queries and guidance.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of investigations and decisions.
  • Participate in financial crime projects, process improvement initiatives and annual updates of standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure operational queues and service level agreements are effectively managed across the team.

🎯 What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Proven experience in KYC, AML, Financial Crime or a related compliance role.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK Anti-Money Laundering regulations, including:
    • Money Laundering Regulations
    • Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA)
    • Terrorism Act
    • JMLSG Guidance
  • Experience conducting customer due diligence and reviewing financial crime alerts.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with a risk-based approach.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality documentation.
  • Advanced stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.
