About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Land Surveyor to join our team in Crawley.
This role offers the opportunity to lead the delivery of a wide range of land surveying projects, combining hands-on fieldwork with office-based data processing and project support. Working across a variety of sectors, you will play a key role in delivering accurate survey data, mentoring junior team members, and supporting the continued growth of our geospatial capabilities.
The successful candidate will be confident working independently on site, managing survey activities, and ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and client service are maintained throughout project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a range of surveys including traversing, monitoring, topographical, and laser scanning surveys
- Operate Leica Total Stations, laser scanners, precise levels, and GNSS equipment
- Process, manage, and interpret survey data using AutoCAD and N4CE
- Prepare survey drawings, reports, and deliverables
- Ensure data quality and accuracy across all survey outputs
- Work independently on site and manage day-to-day survey activities
- Supervise and mentor survey team members, providing technical guidance and support
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and quality compliance

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- Extensive experience using Leica survey equipment, including Total Stations, laser scanners, precise levels, and GPS
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and N4CE, including processing of topographical, monitoring, and traverse data
- Experience carrying out traversing, monitoring, and topographical surveys
- Strong understanding of surveying principles and industry best practice
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong problem-solving and technical skills
- Effective communication and reporting abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Full UK manual driving licence

We are looking for a technically capable and proactive surveyor who enjoys taking ownership of projects and supporting others within the team.
The successful candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality work, building strong client relationships, and contributing to the ongoing development of Vision Survey's surveying capabilities.
