Senior Lawyer – Payments & Merchant Services
Circa 8-month contract | Competitive day rate | Hybrid
Exciting opportunity with a leading global financial institution
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Lawyer to join a high-performing legal team supporting a growing payments and merchant services business.
This is a great opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer to work across payments regulation, commercial contracting and product innovation, partnering with senior stakeholders and helping shape strategic initiatives.
What you’ll be doing
- Advising on payments regulation and regulatory change
- Negotiating and drafting commercial contracts, including customer, supplier and partnership agreements
- Supporting merchant services, payment gateways and wider payment solutions
- Advising on product development, innovation and strategic projects
- Identifying and managing legal and regulatory risk

What we’re looking for
- UK-qualified solicitor with circa 8+ years’ PQE
- Strong experience in commercial contracts and/or payments regulation, regulation or transactional services
- Experience leading, coaching or developing others
- Comfortable working with and influencing senior stakeholders
- Commercial, pragmatic and confident providing constructive challenge
