Senior Android Engineer - London - Hybrid - £80k - £100k
The Job
We are hiring a Senior Android Engineer to help build the future of a brand-new international iGaming operator as they launch across Europe and beyond. This is a genuinely rare opportunity to join an early-stage, heavily backed startup where mobile is at the centre of the product strategy.
As Senior Android Engineer, you will take ownership of the Android application architecture, engineering standards, and future scalability of the mobile platform. You will work closely with the CTO and co-founders, influence technical direction, and help define how mobile engineering evolves as the company scales internationally.
This is not just a hands-on coding role. You will help establish best practices, improve quality, contribute to product thinking, and work closely with external engineering partners while gradually increasing internal capability.
The company is heavily invested in automation, tooling, and modern engineering practices. They run collaborative weekly learning sessions across the business and have created a genuinely curious, knowledge-sharing culture where engineers have a strong voice in shaping the future platform.
Tools & Technology
The Android environment is modern and evolving, with a strong focus on scalability, maintainability, and developer experience.
You will work with technologies including:
- Kotlin
- Jetpack Compose
- Android Studio
- Coroutines
- MockK & JUnit
- Screenshot Testing
- Room, Ktor & Hilt
- Reactive Programming
- MVVM / MVI Architecture
- Firebase
- GitHub
- GCP

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
