Senior / Lead Planner – Major Infrastructure
London & South East | Hybrid Working | £80,000 – £140,000 + Package
Are you an experienced Planner considering what the next step in your career could look like?
I’m currently supporting a number of senior planning appointments across major UK infrastructure and complex programme environments, ranging from Senior and Lead Planner positions through to Planning Management and leadership-level opportunities.
These aren’t simply programme-update roles. Depending on your experience and ambitions, opportunities offer greater responsibility across technical planning, programme assurance, client engagement, team leadership, and wider Project Controls.
What could you be involved in?
- Developing and managing complex programmes using Primavera P6
- Critical path analysis, schedule assurance, and recovery planning
- Reviewing and challenging contractor and supply-chain programmes
- Change control and assessing the programme impact of change
- NEC contracts, Early Warnings, and Compensation Events
- Delay analysis and EOT assessments
- Programme performance, forecasting, and senior-level reporting
- Working alongside cost, risk, change, and commercial teams
- Providing senior planning advice to clients and stakeholders
- Leading, mentoring, and developing planning professionals
- Improving planning processes, governance, and best practice
- At the more senior end, supporting client relationships, team growth, and the development of planning capability

Who I’d like to speak with
I’m interested in experienced planning professionals with a strong background in major projects and programmes, ideally with:
- Strong Primavera P6 capability
- Experience developing, managing, or assuring complex programmes
- A good understanding of critical path, float, and programme performance
- Strong stakeholder and communication skills
- Experience within major infrastructure or complex engineering environments
Depending on the opportunity and level, experience of NEC, Compensation Events, EOTs, consultancy, team leadership, and client development would also be valuable.
Backgrounds across transport, aviation, rail, highways, utilities, water, energy, defence, nuclear, and major engineering programmes are all of interest.

Packages range from approximately £80,000 to £140,000 + benefits, depending on experience, seniority, and the individual opportunity.
Roles are based across London and the South East, with hybrid working available and varying levels of office, client, and project-site attendance.
