This role requires relocation to Dubai

Our client is a fast-growing B2C consumer platform serving users across the Middle East. They are in the middle of a transformation from a commercially-led organisation to a product-led one and are looking for Product Engineers who think like owners, not ticket-takers.

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Product Engineer to take full ownership of a product area end-to-end: development, testing, deployment, monitoring, operations, and the KPIs that go with it. You'll work as part of a small, focused product squad, with real autonomy and real accountability for outcomes.

This isn't a "build what's in the ticket" role. We want people with a genuine product mindset — who dig into the "why," push back when something doesn't serve the user, and don't stop until the outcome is actually accomplished.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Own the full lifecycle of a product area — development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and KPIs — working closely with a small product squad.
  • Work on large-scale legacy systems and modernise them, maintaining a zero-downtime policy across an international, always-on consumer product.
  • Build and maintain multi-tenant, multi-currency, multi-lingual systems used by our platform and its partners.

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Prior experience working at a B2C consumer product company, ideally at scale (high-traffic, high-transaction-volume environments).
  • A strong product mindset and a real sense of ownership — you treat your area like it's your own business.
  • Solid hands-on experience with authentication and authorisation in production systems — token-based auth, session management, and a clear grasp of the distinction between the two.
  • Practical experience implementing or integrating OAuth 2.0 flows for user-aware, third-party/partner access — not just theoretical knowledge of the spec.
  • Experience designing or securing third-party/partner access, including scoping what an external system can see or do.
  • Comfort working with both synchronous protocols (REST, gRPC) and, ideally, event-driven patterns (e.g. message brokers like Kafka) — and good judgment about when each is the right tool.
  • Exposure to cloud-managed identity and API gateway tooling (e.g. AWS API Gateway, Cognito, or equivalents) is a strong plus.
