The Role:
As the Senior Learning & Culture Manager, you will act as a critical builder and operator for Formula E’s people development, leadership capability, and organisational culture. This role bridges business strategy with human potential, creating high-performing, agile environments where our people and leaders can accelerate their impact.
You will oversee end-to-end Learning & Development (L&D) initiatives, drive employee engagement, facilitate cultural evolution, and manage our approach to performance reviews and talent development. Additionally, you will provide strategic leadership to a forward-thinking team, directly managing the People & Culture Manager (who leads Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, wellbeing, and core engagement) and an innovative AI Change Manager (who leads the human and process side of our AI transformation).
Key deliverables:
- Strategic People Development: Create and deliver business-wide learning initiatives aligned with our corporate strategy, continuously evaluating impact and learning analytics to evolve our approach.
- Leadership & Talent Management: Partner directly with the Executive Team and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to design and facilitate high-impact leadership workshops, deliver our line management training ("Leading the Charge"), and provide 1-to-1 coaching.
- Talent & Succession Planning: Partner with our Chief People Officer (CPO) to facilitate executive-level talent discussions, build robust succession plans, and foster a high-performing talent culture.
- Culture & EDI Delivery: Guide the delivery of our Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) strategy. You will champion the employee experience, facilitate immersive new joiner inductions ("Brand Immersion"), and lead the delivery of annual company away days and inclusive leadership training.
- AI Change & Workflow Innovation: Manage the organisation’s approach to AI tool adoption and skill development, transitioning departments from basic productivity tools to highly secure, scalable, and high-impact workflows.
- Performance Cycle Management: Manage and run training for the annual performance review cycle to embed high-performance habits (including Objective Setting and Mid-Season Reviews).
- Early Careers & Compliance: Lead our diverse early careers programs (including internships, work experience, and apprenticeships) while ensuring the seamless rollout and tracking of mandatory compliance training.
- People Representative at Races: Step trackside during select race weekends as the on-site People Team representative, providing operational HR support, monitoring team culture, and ensuring employee safety and wellbeing in high-tempo event environments.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
