Job Overview

We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Design and Facilitation Senior Learning Lead, to join our UK Learning Centre of Excellence. This strategic role is responsible for shaping and delivering innovative learning and development strategies across AXA UK, ensuring that learning initiatives drive business performance, foster a culture of continuous growth, and deliver measurable impact. You'll drive AI-driven learning solutions, as well as designing and rolling out AI capability building initiatives, including bespoke learning paths across diverse levels of needs and competency levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key liaison between stakeholders and the UK Learning Centre of Excellence to ensure learning strategies meet business needs.
  • Provide expert learning and development consultancy across AXA UK to support strategic business outcomes.
  • Lead the design and facilitation of the AXA UK Learning curriculum, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies and in line with the learning strategy.
  • Collaborating with the business to define the AI capability strategy, and design and deliver AI capability learning which meet the needs of varied business areas and competency levels.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning through the development of blended, self-led resources integrated into daily workflows.
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and learning teams to ensure relevance and buy-in.
  • Oversee the end-to-end process of learning programme development, from discovery to deployment and iteration.
  • Provide inspirational leadership and development to a team of digital learning design and facilitation specialists.
  • Measure and report on the impact of learning initiatives on business performance and ROI.

Work Arrangements

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) from December 2026. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events. We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience in organisational and people development, with a strong understanding of adult learning principles.
  • Proven ability to design and facilitate innovative, engaging learning programmes across a large organisation, leveraging AI-led Learning solutions.
  • Expert knowledge and experience across Learning and Development leading practice and AI to ensure learning design is innovative and relevant.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levels.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Knowledge of current trends, tools, and technologies in digital learning and development.
  • Experience working within a complex, matrixed, and global organisation is preferable.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on developing high-performing teams.
  • CIPD Level 5 Diploma in Learning and Development or equivalent qualification.
