The WW Medical Learning Team plays a critical role in ensuring that healthcare providers are educated on the appropriate use of BMS medicines and have the information they need to improve outcomes for their patients. About the Team
The WW Medical Learning Team develops and deploys tools, education, and skill-building resources to equip medical colleagues with field-facing responsibilities across the globe to perform effectively and compliantly — enabling high-quality scientific exchange with the healthcare community.
The Role
The Sr. Manager, WW/International Markets Medical Learning – embodies our medical mission by supporting our medical teams, i.e., Medical Science Liaisons, (MSLs). This role focuses on becoming the trusted partner of choice to a broad set of stakeholders, driving scientific exchange and collection of timely insights that can create measurable medical impact on patient outcomes, ultimately advancing science and enhancing patient access to our medicines.
This home office-based position is to manage the planning, development, implementation, execution, and optimization of training programs under strategic oversight and guidance from an Associate Director (AD), WW Medical Learning. It is a flexible, agile hands-on, execution-focused role responsible for building, coordinating, and delivering scientific training programs for field-facing medical colleagues across international markets.
This individual may be asked to support training across multiple therapeutic areas as needed to meet the changing demands of the business. To better understand the training needs of FM, the Sr. Manager will be asked to collaborate closely with US Medical Learning (USWWML) colleagues, WW Commercialization Learning functions, home office Medical, and Medical Communications/Med Engagement excellence teams to share, co-create, and leverage existing content where applicable.
This role requires navigating a complex matrix environment to construct and execute training plans in alignment with medical matrix teams and will be primarily focused on the day-to-day creation, delivery, and management of training content and curricula across TA/indications based on priorities and the book of work.

This role reports to the Director, WW/International Markets Medical Learning, with a dotted line to an Associate Director, WW/International Markets Medical Learning, based on the allocated book of work.
The Sr. Manager will spend the majority of their time actively collaborating and executing alongside:
- Global Medical Affairs
- International Markets Medical Enablement
- WW Commercialisation Learning Centre of Excellence
- Medical Excellence
- US Medical Learning
- International Markets Field Medical (FM) and Head of Medical (HOM) stakeholders
The primary goal is to build and execute training plans that directly support the medical field teams.
What You Will Do
Training Planning & Execution
- Build and execute annual training plans for field-facing medical colleagues across international markets, in line with direction provided by the Associate Director.
- Coordinate and deliver launch readiness training for new indications and data releases, ensuring scientific content is accurate, timely, and compliant with BMS SOPs.
- Organize and run tiered training programs for clinical trials, matching content to Field Medical capability levels and specific market needs.
- Manage training calendars, timelines, and logistics to ensure all programs are delivered on schedule and within scope.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work directly with Global Medical Affairs, International Markets Medical Enablement, and US Medical Learning teams to co-create, adapt, and localize training content.
- Actively coordinate with the Associate Director to embed therapeutic area-specific training priorities into learning programs.
- Liaise with US Medical Learning, Medical Engagement Excellence, WWCL Medical Enablement, WW Commercialization Learning, WWCL COE, R&D, Medical Communication (list not exhaustive) to identify existing content that can be leveraged or adapted, avoiding duplication of effort
Training Development & Delivery
- Design, build, and facilitate live and virtual training sessions for field-facing medical colleagues, applying adult learning principles.
- Run scientific onboarding programs for new medical colleagues, ensuring they are field-ready within defined timelines, in collaboration with medical colleagues.
- Develop and maintain continuous learning curricula, including modules, assessments, and refresher content.
- Collect and analyze training feedback, assessment results, and performance data to identify gaps and implement improvements.
Operational Excellence
- Maintain and update training archives, records, and documentation in full compliance with BMS SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Execute knowledge retention activities such as assessment programs and post-congress update sessions in coordination with the Associate Director.
- Track and report on training completion rates, assessment scores, and program effectiveness metrics on a regular basis.
- Manage administrative tasks associated with training programs, including vendor coordination, material production, and system updates
What You Bring
- Science-based degree required; Advanced degree (APN/NP, PA, MS, MD, PharmD, PhD) preferred
- 1-2 years of pharmaceutical/biotech or relevant industry experience as a field MSL or similar field-based/office-based role (fellowship experience counts),
- Demonstrated experience in medical training delivery, scientific communication, and applying adult learning principles
- Strong project management skills — ability to manage multiple programs and deadlines simultaneously
- Proven ability to facilitate training sessions to diverse audiences, including large group presentations
- Experience working across cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholder relationships
- Ability to travel up to ~10% based on business requirements
