This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled pastoral practitioner who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and families and has the ability to lead, coordinate and develop high-quality pastoral support within a primary school setting.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Can lead and develop our pastoral provision, ensuring that all pupils receive the support they need to achieve their full potential academically, socially and emotionally.
  • The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting pupil wellbeing, safeguarding, attendance and positive behaviour, whilst working closely with children, families, staff and external agencies to remove barriers to learning.
  • The postholder will lead on targeted pastoral interventions, provide mentoring and support for vulnerable pupils, monitor attendance and behavioural trends, and coordinate strategies to improve outcomes across the school.
  • They will act as a key point of contact for families, build strong partnerships with external agencies and contribute to multi-agency working to ensure timely and effective support for children and families.
  • The role includes overseeing pastoral, behavioural and safeguarding records, supporting staff in identifying and responding to pupils' social, emotional and mental health needs, and contributing to the development of whole-school approaches that promote inclusion, wellbeing and positive behaviour.
  • The successful candidate will also provide advice and guidance to colleagues and contribute to the strategic development of pastoral provision across the school.
