Job Title: Senior Lecturer in Interprofessional Education
Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week (1.0 FTE), Fixed term for 12 months
Salary: £50,253 to £58,226 per annum, Band 7
About The Post
The School seeks to recruit a Senior Lecturer in Interprofessional Education to lead the development of a school-wide interprofessional education (IPE) strategy across all its subject areas. Within the fixed-term period, the postholder will be expected to undertake a structured review of current provision, gather stakeholder input (including students, practice partners and service users), and develop a coherent, evidence-informed IPE strategy aligned to regulatory expectations and best practice. Additionally, they will be expected to initiate implementation through the identification of key opportunities for integration within existing modules, piloting IPE activities, and supporting programme teams to begin strengthening & embedding IPE principles within the curriculum.

The School of Health, Sciences and Society brings together a broad range of disciplines under one academic school, including health, sports, life sciences, counselling, psychology, social work. The School reflects a modern, collaborative approach to education — focused on producing highly skilled, compassionate professionals ready to meet today’s challenges. The School has state-of-the-art teaching and research spaces in the Health and Wellbeing Building and the iconic James Hehir Building facing the waterfront, with dedicated specialist facilities for each subject. About You
The successful candidate will have experience providing strategic academic leadership in Higher Education. They will bring:
- A relevant master’s degree or equivalent significant professional experience.
- Current registration with a relevant regulatory/professional body (e.g. NMC, HCPC, SWE, GPhC or equivalent).
- A recognised HE teaching qualification.
- Contemporary knowledge and understanding of working across professional boundaries in health and/or social care.
- A track record of educational innovation and/or professional developments.
