The School
Paramedic Science is located within the School of Health Sciences, a dynamic academic community offering a broad portfolio of pre-registration, accredited programmes, including Adult Nursing, Biomedical Sciences, Diagnostic Radiotherapy, Mental Health Nursing, Midwifery, Occupational Therapy, Operating Department Practice, Physiotherapy and Speech and Language Therapy. This rich blend of disciplines creates a vibrant and collaborative learning environment, providing excellent opportunities for interprofessional education that reflects the person-centred and patient-focused nature of contemporary healthcare. Staff and students benefit from state-of-the-art teaching and learning facilities designed to support innovative educational approaches and simulation-based learning.
The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Paramedic Science Senior Lecturer/Lecturer to join our academic team within the School of Health Sciences. The post-holder will play a key role in teaching, curriculum development, and academic administration within the BSc and MSc Paramedic Science programmes, shaping the delivery of high-quality Paramedic Science education for the next generation of practitioners. Knowledge and/or experience of working in critical care is desirable.
The role requires a strong commitment to inclusive teaching, student support and continuous professional development. The successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to deliver teaching across a breadth and depth of paramedic science topics, reflecting clinical reasoning, evidence-based and person-centred care.

Key Requirements
- The successful candidate should hold current registration with the HCPC as a Registered Paramedic.
- Experience of teaching within a Higher Education Institution is essential for the senior lecturer position and desirable for a lecturer position.
