Senior Legacy Marketing Manager (UK and International)

Merrifield Consultants are delighted to supporting a well-established animal welfare charity to recruit a Senior Legacy Marketing Manager (UK and International). Reporting into the Global Fundraising team, this role will lead the strategic development and delivery of the charity's UK and international legacy marketing programme, inspiring supporters to leave a lasting gift for farm animals, and the planet.

Key details

  • Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)
  • Contract: Full time, Permanent
  • Location: Surrey (Hybrid – two days per week in the office, currently Tuesdays and Thursdays)

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a well-established legacy marketing programme for an international charity. You'll develop and deliver multi-channel campaigns across the UK while supporting colleagues internationally to grow legacy fundraising in their local markets.

The role combines strategic planning with hands-on campaign delivery and offers the opportunity to shape legacy fundraising, strengthen supporter engagement and work collaboratively across fundraising, digital, CRM and communications teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the UK and international legacy marketing strategy and programme.
  • Deliver integrated legacy campaigns across direct mail, email, digital, social media and events.
  • Support international fundraising teams with campaigns, content and best practice.
  • Monitor campaign performance, budgets and KPIs, using CRM data to inform future activity.
  • Manage supporter legacy enquiries with professionalism and sensitivity.
  • Work collaboratively across fundraising, digital and communications teams to maximise engagement.

Person specification

  • Experience delivering successful legacy marketing campaigns and strategy.
  • Strong direct or digital marketing and copywriting skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems, ideally Salesforce.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to improve performance.
  • Passion for animal welfare or environmental causes.
