Senior Legal Cashier - Our client, a highly regarded Southeast London/ Kent practice, has asked us to find them a head Legal Cashier to join their busy accounts team. This is a senior position offering responsibility for the wider financial management of the firm. The successful candidate will provide strong operational oversight while also contributing to the broader financial management of the business. The role would suit an experienced Legal Cashier who is ready to take the next step in their career and assume greater responsibility.
About the Role
As Head Legal Cashier, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the firm’s Accounts, ensuring all financial transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with the SRA Rules. You will be responsible for maintaining client and office accounts, reconciliations, payments, billing and financial records, alongside preparing VAT returns and supporting the Finance Director with management accounts, reporting and financial analysis.

You will also take responsibility for credit control, the annual audit and maintaining financial policies and procedures, while leading and developing the Accounts team through effective supervision, mentoring.
Candidate Requirements
You will need a proven track record as a legal cashier at senior level, along with strong organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities whilst meeting deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are a must, as well as the ability to explain financial information clearly to non financial colleagues.
