What to Expect

We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially astute Senior Legal Counsel specialising in Procurement and Commercial law to join our legal leadership team. This senior role is critical in supporting and shaping the organisation’s procurement and technology strategy, providing authoritative legal advice across complex, high‑value supplier and partnership arrangements.

The role has a broad commercial remit, spanning traditional procurement as well as strategically important projects such as connected car initiatives, technology and digital partnerships, software and data‑driven agreements, and brand‑related matters.

The successful candidate will lead negotiations on sophisticated commercial and technology contracts, advise on emerging legal and regulatory risks, and drive best‑practice standards in procurement governance, intellectual property protection and brand integrity.

Acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, the Senior Legal Counsel will play a key role in enabling innovation while ensuring robust legal compliance, effective risk management and strong commercial outcomes across all supplier, technology and brand engagements.

What You'll Do

  • Act as a trusted advisor on complex procurement, commercial and technology matters across the organisation
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to shape and deliver strategy in line with business priorities and risk appetite
  • Lead legal input on high‑value, high‑risk and business‑critical supplier and partner engagements
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies and governance frameworks
  • Identify, assess and manage legal and commercial risks, enabling informed decision‑making by senior stakeholders
  • Develop and embed best practice approaches to contracting, procurement governance and risk management
  • Lead and mentor junior lawyers and/or legal professionals, providing guidance, feedback and development support

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
