The Corporate/Legal Counsel will be a key member of the growing legal and business team in the region and must be a thoughtful problem solver and a trusted business partner. The position is responsible for providing legal advice, expertise, and support in all areas of law affecting our EMEA business. The primary focus will be on direct sales support to EMEA. Within the commercial contracting area of focus, the Corporate/Legal Counsel will work on deals within our partner ecosystem, including OEMs, VARs, channel partners and the like.

As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will:
- Work closely with internal staff on cross-functional teams.
- Work with customers and channel partners to negotiate business agreements for new and follow-on business.
- Ensure agreements comply with company policies and guidelines.
- Prepare contract paperwork; advise management of contractual rights and obligations; mitigate contractual and channel partner program risks; compile and analyze data; maintain historical information.
- Balance competing priorities of constituencies as compared to business needs and use astute judgment as to when to seek executive-level direction.
- Liaise with law firms to handle any potential litigation.
We’re excited about you if you have:
- Law degree required with 7+ years of post-qualification experience either working with a law firm or as an in-house counsel with a special focus in the IT industry
- Good experience working in the EMEA region with a strong understanding of the local work customs and cultures
- Knowledge of legal issues affecting software companies operating in the EMEA region, such as data privacy, open-source software and SaaS, IP protection, employment and general corporate issues.
- Excellent drafting, analytical and negotiation skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills and requisite personal computer skills.
- Strong internal/external customer service skills.
- Superior communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
