Senior Legal Counsel – Pharmaceutical
We are supporting a leading global pharmaceutical organisation seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join its UK legal team on an initial 6-month contract.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Legal Director, you will provide hands-on legal support to the UK commercial and marketing business, working closely with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Commercial Operations, and other senior stakeholders.

- Advising on ABPI Code matters, including HCP activities, NHS collaborations, sponsorship, grants, and promotional initiatives
- Supporting the sales, marketing, and commercialisation of medicines in the UK
- Advising on market access, reimbursement, and supply-chain matters
- Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
- Advising on data privacy, competition law, and AI-related initiatives
- Acting as Deputy DPO for the UK business

About You
- Likely 8+ PQE
- Previous in-house UK pharmaceutical/biotech experience is essential
- Strong practical ABPI Code experience is essential
- Experience supporting UK pharma sales/marketing and commercial teams
- Strong commercial contracting and stakeholder-management skills
- Data privacy and competition law experience
Compensation and Duration
- Rate: £986 per day Inside IR35
- Duration: 6 months
- Location: Hybrid/Central London
