Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel
Our client is a well-established, market-leading UK freight and logistics provider with an extensive national network. As one of the country's foremost specialists in secure transport, supply chain operations, and contract logistics, they partner with major enterprise brands, retailers, and industrial leaders to keep critical supply chains moving seamlessly across the UK.
Operating across multiple key regional hubs, they deliver end-to-end solutions spanning express freight, contract logistics, secure transit, and complex distribution operations.
They are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join their team on an initial 6 to 12-month fixed-term contract, with a strong potential to transition into a permanent role. The role is offered on a flexible, mostly remote basis for a candidate based in the Midlands, with bi-monthly face-to-face meetings with the General Counsel. Given the immediate needs of the business, an ideal start date within 4 weeks is preferred. This is an exceptional opportunity to take ownership of a broad array of high-value commercial matters within a fast-paced, scale operational business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
