An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Legal Counsel (Contracts & Commercial) to join the in-house legal team of a leading international law firm, based in Leeds.

This is a senior role providing legal and commercial advice across the firm's global operations. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and business teams across the firm, supporting a broad range of commercial arrangements and ensuring that legal and commercial risks are appropriately identified and managed.

The role would suit a commercially minded lawyer with substantial experience in commercial contracts and procurement.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Legal Counsel (Contracts & Commercial) role:

  • Provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice on a broad range of contracts and commercial matters.
  • Draft, review, negotiate and advise on a variety of commercial agreements, including supplier, technology, consultancy, services and partnership agreements.
  • Act as a trusted legal adviser to senior stakeholders and business teams across the firm.
  • Support the negotiation of complex and high-value commercial agreements with key suppliers and third parties.
  • Advise on contractual terms, liability, indemnities, warranties, confidentiality, intellectual property, data protection and termination provisions.
  • Work closely with procurement, finance, technology, information security, risk and other internal teams to support commercial initiatives.
